Exhibition Center with an area of 195,000 m2 has been in operation since April 3, 1986, and in 2020 it expanded to 305,000 m2, becoming one of the largest expo centers in the United States.
It hosts more than 170 events per year, including trade shows and conventions, and hosts 20 of the 200 largest trade shows in the United States, such as the New York International Auto Show, New York Comic Con, and Anime NYC.
The information model was developed on the basis of construction documentation with all the changes over 40 years, and after that it was verified using point clouds and photospheres. A digital twin was created for the customer's maintenance service in the Building X Lifecycle Twin ecosystem.
In March 2020, the expocenter was turned into a temporary hospital for patients with COVID-19. The digital twin made it possible to quickly plan the deployment of 2,000 beds, divide them into "clean" and "dirty zones", and simplify access and security decisions.
