The mansion modernization project (1935) is an example of the use of BIM for the reconstruction of historical sites and the interaction of the designer, builder and customer within the IPD system. We collected information from historical drawings, photographs, and laser scanning results and recorded it in the model. With high accuracy, it was possible to predict the location of structures and optimally place the elevator shaft and communications spaces.
The building was equipped with air conditioning, geothermal heating, electric and low—current systems, turning into an ultra-modern multifunctional office of the Research Institute (HHMI), where conferences and reception of distinguished guests will be held. The model and the building have gone through all stages: planning, design, construction, operation.
